The Lumia 1520, Nokia and Windows Phone’s first phablet device, will be launching on AT&T on November 15.
AT&T will be the exclusive carrier for the Lumia 1520 (yes, Nokia still thinks carrier exclusivity is a brilliant idea), and the Microsoft Store is now taking pre-orders for the device for $199 on contract, and $549 outright. Color options include black, white, red, and yellow, with each available for pre-order from the get-go.
The Lumia 1520 is Nokia’s largest handset to date, sporting a Full HD 6-inch IPS LCD display on the front. A 20-megapixel camera resides on the back, complete with PureView branding and new features such as the ability to take “shoot first, focus later.” Under the hood, there’s a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and 2GB of RAM, making it the most powerful Windows Phone device at the moment.
Other specs include 16GB of on-board storage and a microSD slot, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and 4G LTE connectivity, and a 3400 mAh battery with wireless charging. On the software side of things, the Lumia 1520 comes with Windows Phone 8 and the latest update – GDR3 – pre-installed, which includes features such as driving mode, improved internet sharing, and more.
