At the top are the Lock switch, 3.5mm connector for compatible headsets or earphones and a power button. The Lock switch is used to lock the keypad unlike the traditional method of pressing the menu key followed by the "*" button on some of the older Nokia phones. To unlock the keypad, simply slide open the phone.

On the left is the microSD memory card slot that supports both microSD and microSDHC, and a hole at the corner for wrist strap.

The stereo speakers with 3D sound effect are built intothe corners of the right-hand side of the phone. There is also the still image and video recording capture button and a zoom/volume key.

At the base you will find the charger connector, microphone and a micro USB connector, the latter is used to connect to a PC for file transfers and firmware upgrades.

The 5-megapixel auto-focus camera uses a Carl Zeiss lens and is fitted with dual-LED camera flash, video light, recording indicator, auto-focus assist light. A smaller secondary camera is located on the front just above the 2.8-inch display.
