Nokia preparing “Max”, a low-end smartphone with a big screen
It seems like Nokia might stay true to their word of trying to bring better phones to the low-end segment with a new device codenamed the "Max" that will sport a 4.7" display, LTE, and a quad core processor.
The smartphone market may slowly be filling up with various low-end devices but the newly rumored Nokia "Max" stands out from the rest by including a larger screen. Where other low-end devices skew toward phones smaller than their flagship counterparts, it seems Nokia is ready to bring that kind of display to the low-cost market. MyNokiaBlog reports the following as the specs of the rumored device:
- 4.7″ WVGA LCD display with Super Sensitive Touch (800×480 resolution)
- 1.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor
- Unibody casing
- 512MB RAM
- 2000mAh battery
The device is expected to be in the Lumia 600 range rather than their 700, 800, or 900 branding. There are also claims that it will be the cheapest LTE device with this kind of display on the market. Look down below for picture of the alleged smartphone.
