A “non-final” press render of the HTC One Max has been leaked, once again confirming HTC’s plans to launch a gigantic One to go up against Samsung’s Galaxy Note III and Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra.

That a giant HTC One will be unleashed on the not-so-unsuspecting public before this eventful year ends is not a secret anymore, and after early glimpses at the HTC One Max in leaked photos and a teaser video, we’re now looking at what is a “non-final” press shot of the device, courtesy of resourceful leakster Evleaks.

The render doesn’t reveal anything new, except that the camera flash will be placed differently, but does reaffirm that HTC is going for a plastic wrap-around on the back and sides, similar to the HTC One mini. On the front though, the One Max seems to be a carbon copy of HTC’s current flagship (barring the much larger size), including the dual BoomSound speakers that people have come to love.

Specifications are still unconfirmed, but previous leaks hint at a 5.9-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, UltraPixel camera, and a 3,300mAh. China will get a dual SIM variant, and an official announcement is expected at IFA in Berlin, where Samsung and Sony will be crashing the party with the Galaxy Note III and the Xperia i1 Honami, respectively.
