Nook color to get apps and flash in April update

Made as an e-reader, who would have thought that the Nook color would become one of the most popular device amongst the android developers community. It's set to be even better with the April update. Read on.

According to the Home Shopping Network, the April firmware update will include Flash support and apps.

The Nook color took the Android tablet community by storm shortly after its release. Developers have been able to transform the Android based ereader into something which is able to match the galaxy tab in terms of performance. At just US$249, it is set to be one of the strongest contenders in the budget tablet arena.

Officially supporting apps and flash will gain support from those who are less keen to tinker with the inner workings of their devices. It is still unknown if the apps support refers to Barnes & nobles' own app store or the Android market.
