NVIDIA Geforce 7600 & 7900 GT May come to AGP

It seems that NVIDIA’s partners are playing with the thought
of bridging the 7600GT and 7900GT down to AGP. The 7600GT would replace the
6600GT AGP, while the 7900GT AGP should become the new AGP performance king.
The price tags should hover somewhere around USD$ 250-USD$ 300. This should not be too challenging in terms of power management since the G71 cores on the cards are not too power hungry. We are just curious if a new HSI bridge is needed for this since we think that there is probably a limiting factor somewhere for the 24-pipe lined cores not to have been ported over earlier.
