DailyTech reveal new details of upcoming MCP72 chipset, the successor to current nForce 500 series and nForce 7000 series (MCP68). It is single-chip solution that supports AMD Socket AM2 and HT3 enabled AM2+ like Agena and Budapest. MCP72 also supports PCIe 2.0, six SATA 3.0Gbps and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports like the current nForce 500-series. Expect MCP72 to spawn SLI and Ultra variants as well as integrated graphics offerings too. Expect MCP72 to launch in time for second half of the year.
