NVIDIA has previously mentioned its new products for Intel IGP market. MCP73 is scheduled to release in Q2 2007 while MCP79 is the probably the next in line. Based on GeForce 7300, MCP73 support for Direct X 9.0c and Shader Model 3.0, with build-in HDMI and HDCP, and provide 720p H.264 decoding capability by PureVideo technology. MCP73 supports 1066MHz FSB, Gigabit Ethernet, High Definition Audio, 4 SATA, 1 PATA, 3 PCI-E x1 and 10 USB 2.0. MCP73 most likely has Single Channel memory controller and PCI-E x8 only for cost saving. MCP79 is based on MCP73 with Direct X 10 and 1080i H.264 decode capability with FSB support up to1333MHz FSB.

MCP79 would base on MCP73 with Direct X 10 and 1080i H.264 decode capability. Its FSB may probably also be enhanced to 1333MHz FSB for Intel’s next-generation processors. This new chipset would fabricate in 80nm process by TSMC, and source said NVIDIA is now collaborating with TSMC for trial on 55nm process. The first trial is scheduled in early 2007 and simple will be ready in Q3 to Q4 2007. It is a hope that 55nm process is ready for mass production in Q1 2008.
