Unconfirmed details have come about pertaining to a supposed GTX-680M mobile graphics solution from NVIDIA launching at next month's Computex 2012 event in Taipei.

Not a great deal is known based on what the sources have provided, but it appears this supposed new top dog mobile graphics offering from NVIDIA will be a scaled down version of its desktop Kepler based brother, the GTX 680.

The GTX 680M is expected to have approx. half as many CUDA cores, either 744 or 768 according to sources, with its 256-bit memory interface and SLI configuration support retained. The flagship mobile GPU will boast up to 4GB of GDDR5 memory and is said to suck up as much as 100W of power.

When paired with Intel's Core i7 3720QM processor the GPU managed a 3DMark 11 score of 4,905 points under the Performance preset. It is anticipated that the 680M will be as much as 37% quicker than the GTX 670M in certain scenarios.

Little else has been revealed about the GTX-680M at this time such as clock rates etc. but if rumour holds true we're only a little over couple weeks away from the full rundown.
