NVIDIA Special Bundling w/ Intel

NVIDIA today announced a special bundle programme with Intel Corporation designed to encourage Asia-Pacific computer users to migrate to the PCI Express (PCI-E) platform. Joining NVIDIA and Intel in the promotion are four NVIDIA add-in-card manufacturers and motherboard partners: ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and Albatron. Through April, the award-winning NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics processing unit (GPU) with TurboCache technology and the Intel® 915PL Express chipset-based motherboard will be available in a special package to end users in the Asia Pacific region.

NVIDIA today announced a special bundle programme with Intel Corporation
designed to encourage Asia-Pacific computer users to migrate to the PCI Express
(PCI-E) platform. Joining NVIDIA and Intel in the promotion are four NVIDIA
add-in-card manufacturers and motherboard partners: ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and
Albatron.

Through April, the award-winning NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics processing unit
(GPU) with TurboCache technology and the Intel® 915PL Express chipset-based
motherboard will be available in a special package to end users in the Asia
Pacific region.

“This bundling promotion will enable entry-level users to have a more realistic,
visually-rich experience on their system at unprecedented prices and performance
levels. NVIDIA TurboCache technology brings the award-winning feature set found
on current-generation high-end GPUs to the value segment of the PC market, which
will enable more people to enjoy better photographs, videos, games, and system
performance,” said Paul Sun, general manager of sales, NVIDIA.

NVIDIA TurboCache technology is a new, patent-pending hardware and software
technology which allows a GPU to render directly to system memory, instead of
using local memory on the graphics card. As part of the GeForce 6 Series
graphics architecture, which has been described as the most advanced in the
world, the GeForce 6200 GPU with TurboCache technology renders to system memory
by leveraging the bi-directional PCI Express bandwidth. The TurboCache
technology manager dynamically allocates memory for maximum system performance
while intelligent software algorithms maximise application performance.

The GeForce 6200 GPU with TurboCache technology is the only graphics processor
in the value segment that:

• Supports Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 Shader Model 3.0, which is being used to
develop ultra-realistic, next-generation DirectX 9.0 games;
• Features NVIDIA PureVideo™ technology, a combination of hardware and software
that brings consumer electronics-quality video to the PC;
• Is backed by the NVIDIA ForceWare™ software suite and NVIDIA Unified Driver
Architecture (UDA), ensuring industry-renowned compatibility and reliability for
a great user experience.

The Intel 915PL Express chipset, which is the value version of the Intel®915
Express chipset family, is compatible with Intel® Pentium 4 processor and PCI-E
technology. The discrete chipset is targeted at end-users who want to upgrade to
PCI-E. It supports a 533MHz or 800MHz frontside bus, Intel® Hyper Threading
Technology, PCI-Express expansion, and a dual-channel memory bus.
