NVIDIA has responded to the news story "Intel
955X/945 SLI Edition Boards
" we made on Tuesday and here’s the
assurance given by them :

"Do note that enabling SLI is strictly about certification
and not about NVIDIA’s drivers. It is up to Intel to decide what they want to
do. NVIDIA is not doing anything to hinder Intel."

It is certainly good news for the consumers who would opt to buy
Intel-based chipset to run SLI instead of NVIDIA-based chipsets. However, it is
still the Forceware drivers that will be controlling the SLI mode. We heard that
the drivers will be available as soon as ATi Multi-VPU platform arrives.
