NZXT has announced the “gamercentric” Gamma mid tower case,
targeted at the budget conscious. Measuring 190×448x508mm and weighing
6kg, the steel case features a meshed front panel for improved airflow
and supports up to 6 120/140mm fans at the rear/top/side.
Fan openings at the side panels are especially useful as enthusiasts
are now able to provide additional cooling for their graphic card and
processor without having to go through the hassle of “dremeling”
blow-holes into the side-panels. It also has provisions for “wire
brackets”, allowing users to better manage their wire routing in the
case. NZXT has also made the Gamma mid tower case “water” friendly by
pre-drilling water cooling holes on the back plate with support for 2
external radiators at the top of the chassis.
Most importantly of all, high end graphics card longer than 10” will
fit easily in the Gamma as lengths of these graphic cards had been
accounted for in its design. Available for USD50, we believe the very
affordable Gamma mid tower case will be a hit with enthusiasts.
Availability has not been confirmed but the the Gamma is definitely
worth keeping a lookout for given its “gamercentric” features at an
affordable price.
“There is no other chassis on the market that offers this kind of
feature set for around $50” said Johnny Hou, Chief Designer at NZXT.
“For enthusiasts looking to shave some money off their build, Gamma
will provide everything you need for a high performance system at a
remarkably low price.”
