First, we'll be using ATTO to run sequential reads and writes of varying sizes across a 2GB address space.

The OCZ Vertex 3 starts out slightly slower at the smallest transfer sizes. However it quickly catches up, and by the end of the test it might actually be running into a SATA 6Gbps bottleneck. It is worth noting that the Vertex 3 in 3Gbps mode is no better than even a Vertex 2 with half the capacity. Note also that ATTO uses compressible data, which is the ideal scenario for SandForce-based drives.
