Olympus launches new MJU and FE series cameras

Olympus Singapore has recently launched six new cameras under the MJU and FE series, namely the MJU TOUGH-3000, MJU-9010, MJU-7040, MJU-5010, FE-47 and FE-4030. Check out the news releases of the cameras on the next page.

The Olympus MJU TOUGH-3000 compact digital camera incorporates many powerful “toughness” features including waterproof to a depth of 3 metres, shockproof against falls from as high as 1.5 metres, and freezeproof at temperatures as low as -10°C.

This camera boasts a stylish design, outstanding imaging performance, and a Magic Filter that turns everyday scenes into unique and powerful images. The camera will be on sale island-wide in late January 2010.

HD movie (MPEG-4 AVC / H.264) recording
Extended HDTV (1280 x 720 pixels) movie recording is possible thanks to the advanced
MPEG-4 AVC / H.264 movie compression format. Compatible with the SD memory card, movie recording can be started and stopped at the touch of a button.

Photo-surfing
Made possible by the incorporation of a 1 GB memory, photo-surfing allows you to download favorite pictures from your PC back to your camera, search desired pictures according to recording information such as “date” , “i-AUTO” and “scene mode”, and view them on the camera. It’s just like the camera version of net-surfing. With the provided ib software, users can create image collections based on various criteria such as who is in the picture or where it was shot.
