Opera has just released its latest version of Opera Mini for Android devices onto the Android Market as well as its own mobile website. The Opera Mini 7 web browser brings significantly improved hardware acceleration resulting in faster overall browsing performance and smoother panning.

There are a range of other improvements also implemented into the new build including changes to the user interface where a limitless number of Speed Dial buttons can be added; this opposed to prior versions with a maximum of nine visual bookmark thumbnails for favorite website access via the Home Screen.

Further to the above, Opera has included its Turbo feature into Mini 7 which speeds up browsing speeds and cuts down on download sizes by routing all web page requests through Opera's own proxy server. This proxy server can compress web pages by up to 90 percent before forwarding them onto the user's browser for snappy load times.

As a side note, not that too many folks will be affected here, but Opera Mini 7 does require Android 1.5+.
