Oral-B plans to show off a Bluetooth based toothbrush at the MWC event next week.
Dental hygiene is an area of concern for many. Oral-B has been on the forefront of the dental hygiene industry by bringing several products catering to the specific needs of the people.
The company has now gone a step further and announced the launch of its new Bluetooth based toothbrush. This toothbrush will connect to your smartphone and provide real time details on how to keep your teeth clean and tidy. Oral-B will also launch mobile applications which will allow dentists to program the toothbrush according to their patient’s needs.
“Dentists always tell us: ‘People do a great job in the week before they come to visit us and in the week after they visit us,” the director says, “but nothing can hide the fact that when we look inside the mouth we can see all the areas they miss'” said Michael Cohen-Dumani, the global associate director over at Oral-B.
It is said that the app was developed by professionals to allow dentists keep a track of their patients’ brushing habits in between visits. Early reports claim that the toothbrush will be priced at £199 in the UK and €219 across Europe during launch, so it won’t go easy on your wallets. Oral-B will showcase this new toothbrush in length at next week’s MWC event in Barcelona.
This new toothbrush will certainly take brushing habits to a whole new level as users will be able to customize their brushing routines according to their convenience while dentists will be able to track brushing patterns and provide feedback accordingly.
