palmOne, Inc. and Handango have announced the extension of
their worldwide, multiyear strategic alliance. The new agreement builds on the
foundation of two years of successful collaboration with aggressive new
initiatives expanding the palmOne Software Connection into
Asia Pacific markets and raising customer awareness of software for palmOne
handhelds and smartphones.

Among the initiatives, there will be a link to a "Bonus Software Portal" on the
CD included with palmOne handhelds. The Bonus Software Portal will give new
palmOne handheld owners up to three free applications and direct them to the
palmOne Software Connection in their country where they can find, try and
purchase thousands of other applications.

With the launch of the Treo 600 smartphone in October, palmOne and Handango have
made the palmOne Software Connection available to Treo 600 users at www.palmOne.com/mobiledownloads.
Within the coming months, Handango and palmOne will also open the palmOne
Software Connection in select Asia Pacific markets, initially including
Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.

Today palmOne, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLMO) and Handango, the leading
provider of mobile downloads, announced the extension of their worldwide,
multiyear strategic alliance. The new agreement builds on the foundation of two
years of successful collaboration with aggressive new initiatives expanding the
palmOne Software Connection (http://software.palmone.com) into Asia Pacific
markets and raising customer awareness of software for palmOne(TM) handhelds and
smartphones.

Marketing Initiatives

Among the initiatives, there will be a link to a “Bonus Software Portal” on the
CD included with palmOne handhelds. The Bonus Software Portal will give new
palmOne handheld owners up to three free applications and direct them to the
palmOne Software Connection in their country where they can find, try and
purchase thousands of other applications.

“We’re honored to continue our work with palmOne and build upon our strong
success growing the palmOne Software Connection over the past two years,” said
Randy Eisenman, president and chief executive officer of Handango. “Through
these new initiatives, such as the Bonus Software Portal and APAC launch, our
two companies are increasing the number of palmOne customers who experience the
power of applications, thereby strengthening the entire Palm OS(R) software
economy.”

Handango and palmOne plan to build on the success of past emarketing programs by
including software as a component in an expanded number of palmOne email
marketing campaigns. In addition, flyers promoting mobile software will be
available in most Palm Cafés, located throughout the United States (for Palm
Café locations, see http://www.palmone.com/us/products/wheretobuy/palmOnecafe/).

Expansion Over the Air and Overseas

With the launch of the Treo(TM) 600 smartphone in October, palmOne and Handango
have made the palmOne Software Connection available to Treo 600 users at
www.palmOne.com/mobiledownloads. Using the web browser built into the Treo 600
smartphone, customers can wirelessly access this site to find, purchase and
download applications over-the-air directly to their Treo 600 smartphone.(1) The
store is accessible via a bookmark within the browser on most Treo 600

“Whether the user is an executive or a wine maker, a student or an art
collector, a handheld device is made more personal and useful by customizing it
with software,” said William Lynch, vice president of solutions marketing for
palmOne. “With 30 million Palm OS based handhelds and smartphones sold to date,
the breadth of software Handango offers lets every palmOne device owner
personalize their experience, maximize their investment and enhance their
productivity.”
