Panasonic Japan announced 6 New Let’s Note notebook series - F8, R8, W8, T8 and the new S8 and N8.

Specs are pretty impressive for its streamline design.

The N8 (No DVD Drive) and the S8 (With DVD Drive) are powered by a Core 2 Duo P8700 @ 2.53GHz (1066MHz), 250GB of HDD and a GM45 Express Chipset, 2 or 4GB of RAM and a 12.1” WXGA LCD. They will also come with Windows 7, with XP downgrade option available.

The N8 and S8 comes with both WiMAX and Wifi a/b/g/n (Wifi Link5150), Gigabit Ethernet, SDHC, HDMI Out. All of this, weighing only 1.16kg for the S8 and 1.10Kg for the N8.

According to source, Panasonic announced 8hrs with the standard model and 16hrs for the Enhanced version.
