Panasonic Singapore announces DMC-GX1 interchangeable lens system camera
Panasonic Singapore has announced their new interchangeable lens system camera, the DMC-GX1, of the LUMIX G Micro System range. The GX1 features a 16-megapixel Live MOS sensor and boasts to capture clear and sharp images, even under low-lighting situations.
Panasonic has announced a new addition to its range of interchangeable lens system cameras from the LUMIX G Micro System range – the DMC-GX1. The DMC-GX1 sports a 16-megapixel Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine that can capture clear and sharp image with superb details and excellent colors, even in low-light settings. Comes with a Precision Contrast AF (Auto Focus) system that has a 0.09 second Light Speed AF, it can capture fast moving subjects easily with consecutive shooting at 4.2 frames per second. The GX1 also includes a newly added focus mode, AFF (AF Flexible) that locks on the subject when the shutter button is half-pressed, and the focus will reset if the subject moves again, to achieve better results.
The camera has a hot shoe at the top that lets you attach an optional tilt-shift Live View Finder (DMW-LVF2), and neat layout of control buttons and the mode dial, turn-and-press dial and dedicated function buttons. It also comes with Level Gauge that lets the camera detect the horizontal/vertical angle of view with its internal level working with the acceleration sensor. Photos shot in portrait mode will be automatically displayed vertically.
The GX1 can also do video recording in 1920×1080 full high definition with stereo sound in AVCHD format. On top of that, users can also enhance their photos with creative filters such as: Expressive, Retro, High Key, Sepia, High Dynamic, Miniature Effect and newly added Low Key and Toy Effect mode.
