Patriot Memory announces their easy to use 4 bay Media Server, the Javelin S4. Equipped with four 3.5 inch bays, the Javelin S4 supports up to 12TB worth of SATA / SAS storage, in a RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 configuration with Hot Spare redundancy capability.

Patriot Memory announces their easy to use 4 bay Media Server, the Javelin S4.

Equipped with four 3.5 inch drive bays, the Javelin S4 supports up to 12TB worth of SATA / SAS storage, in a RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 configuration with Hot Spare redundancy capability.

Even if the internal drive bays are maximised, you can still add additional storage options via the eSata and USB ports That brings another 9TB worth of storage via three additional drive, for a whopping 21TB in such a small form factor!

The Patriot Javelin is PC, Mac and DLNA compatible, and is powered by a customised operating system. Fitted with a Gigabit Ethernet port, it features an integrated Apple iTunes server, Logitech Squeezebox Server, as well as UpnP compatibility. An additional plus is the Patriot Javelin S4's internet streaming server capabilities. Through a simple web browser, a user is able to stream audio, video and still images, even to Android and iOS devices. Topping the feature list includes an integrated Bit Torrent client and automated backup capabilities for PCs and Macs (Time Machine).
