Patriot Memory, well known amongst enthusiasts for their high-performance RAM modules, has unveiled the Valkyrie, a dual bay NAS device aimed at small businesses and home users. Measuring 178 by 191 by 267mm, it has two 3.5-inch bays capable of
supporting SATA HDD (in RAID 0 or 1 mode) with capacities of up to 2TB
each (4TB total). The compact Valkyrie runs on a 500 Mhz processor with
128MB of RAM and serves as a central storage for data/digital content
for home/business LAN, a iTunes server, a FTP server and allow users
anywhere in the world to “instantly and securely access all digital
files stored on the Valkyrie” remotely via an internet connection.  It
can be pre-ordered from authorized dealers at a MSRP of USD 165.

addition of Valkyrie to our NAS solutions, with its enhanced
functionality and ease of use gives consumers a powerful solution at an
affordable price,” says Jack Chen, Patriot’s Peripheral Product
Manager. “Our goal is to bring products to the market that provide
versatility, scalability and functionality at a price that consumers
