Patriot Memory, manufacturer of high performance memory modules and flash products, has launched its Zephyr SSD series, targeting mainstream users. The 2.5” SSDs, enclosed in aluminum housings, are built on the JMicron JMF612 controller and feature a SATA II interface, 64Mb of on-board cache, TRIM support and data transfer rates of up to 240Mb/s (Read) and 180Mb/s (Write). Available in capacities of 64Gb, 128Gb and 256Gb, the Zephyr SSDs are covered by a three year limited warranty. Pricing and availability has not been announced yet so stay tuned for more updates.
