Pioneer introduces new car audio video receiver AVH-P8450BT with Advanced App Mode
With the Pioneer Advanced App Mode, you can now use your iPhone, iPhone 4S or iPod Touch and its apps seamlessly on the car dashboard. This enables the usage of apps in the car with limited driver distraction.
Pioneer Electronics Asia Centre has introduced the latest car audio video receiver AVH-P8450BT with Advanced App Mode. Advanced App Mode is designed to utilize the processing power, storage capacity, network connectivity and apps of the iPhone 4/iPhone 4S and iPod touch (fourth generation) as the primary source of information and entertainment capabilities. It allow users to control most functions using similar touch and motion gestures like today's smartphones, but on a larger screen to ensure safer in-vehicle operation.
Simply connect to an iPhone 4/iPhone 4S and iPod touch loaded with compatible third-party apps, and the “AppRadio” app will deliver the in-vehicle smartphone experience for iPhone users by helping users stay current with recommended compatible third-party apps. The Pioneer Advanced App mode application “AppRadio” app is available for download free in the App Store. Compatible apps for Internet radio service include AUPEO! Personal Radio, Livio Car Internet Radio and StreamS HiFi Radio. There are also apps for drive analytics service such as DashCommand and Extra Mile. Additional apps to support Advanced Add Mode will be available in the near future.
Pioneer has also developed exclusive compatible apps for Advanced App Mode:
1) MIXTRAX app – Analyze your iPod touch and iPhone 4/iPhone 4S music library (Internet connectivity required) and generate non-stop mix play by cueing up songs, beat matching, or adding effects. The MIXTRAX app is now available for download on iTunes.
2) Navgate Drive South East Asia app – Provides numerous intelligent features such as traffic information, city guides, short route calculation time, simultaneous calculation of multiple route variants and many others.
