Pioneer has unveiled their latest Slim AV Micro System X-SMC1, a "Made for iPod and iPhone" certified speaker system that is designed with increased functionality and flexibility to satisfy both the audio and video enthusiasts. The X-SMC1 supports CD and DVD playback, features bulit-in FM radio and USB connectivity, as well as alarm clock functions.
Pioneer Electronics AsiaCentre has announced the Slim AV Micro System X-SMC1, a versatile and convenient system that claims to offer a multitude of media playback options. The sleek Pioneer X-SMC1 comes packed with features including iPod and iPhone compatibility, CD/DVD playback, integrated FM radio, USB connectivity as well as clock and alarm functions. The X-SMC1 can charge an iPod or iPhone via the push open dock while the music is playing. On top of that, the Slim AV Micro System can play video content from a compatible iPod or iPhone on a TV screen. It can function as a DVD player equipped with HDMI port and 1080-pixels upscaler for an immersive movie experience.
The free Pioneer Air Jam application, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store, allows iPod and iPhone users to discover new songs on other users’ iPod touch or iPhone. Through Bluetooth connection, users can then stream music from up to four iPod touch and iPhone devices. The Air Jam can also transmit metadata such as song title, artist, and album name by referring to Air Jam’s playback history.
Price and Availability
The X-SMC1 will be available in silver (X-SM1-S) at a suggested retail price of S$399 at Pioneer authorized retail outlets from August 2011.
