A pre-order listing for PowerColor's beefed up Radeon HD 7970 LCS Ed. graphics card has appeared on a UK website with an also beefed up price tag of £599.99.

The card does come equipped with a single-slot EK Nickel Acetal waterblock and higher than stock clock rates of 1050 MHz on the core and 5700MHz (effective) on its 3GB of GDDR5 memory, but it's still hard to imagine anyone feeling ok about dropping close to US $1K on one of these, especially considering a couple of HD 7950s could be had for a similar amount of money.

Touching base on the remaining specs, the card boasts 2048 Stream Processors, a 384-bit memory interface, is PCI-E 3.0-ready and has four display outputs comprising one dual-link DVI, one HDMI and two mini DisplayPorts.

The card has a two year warranty and shipping is expected to commence before the end of the month.
