Press shots of Sony Xperia Z1 leak, reconfirm 20.7MP G Lens camera
The Sony Xperia Z1 refuses to keep a low profile as we inch closer and closer before its official announcement, with Sony’s upcoming flagship now appearing in some crystal clear press shots.
The press images were leaked by an Asian retailer, and show off the device from every side. The front has the same unnecessary bezels that we saw in previously leaked pictures, while the 20.7-megapixel camera with Sony’s G Lens is also confirmed once again, and whether it’s actually good will be revealed to us soon enough.
The left side of the Xperia Z1 is pretty sparse, only containing a microSD slot and docking pins, while on the right you have the usual buttons such as volume, power, SIM slot, and a dedicated camera key (something that we could see more of on devices from other manufacturers as well.) Many will probably be wondering whether Sony has gone with a glass panel on the back, but that’s another thing – along with the camera quality – that will come to light only at the official announcement.
Expected to go up for sale on September 24, the Xperia Z1 is rumored to sport a 5-inch Full HD 1080p TRILUMINOUS display, four Snapdragon 800 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16 and 32GB of expandable storage, a 3,000mAh battery, water- and dust-resistance, a full connectivity suite including NFC and LTE, and the latest version of Android with a revamped Sony UI.
What do you guys think of the Xperia Z1′s design?
