Prisoner hides cell phone in butt, gets caught for not silencing it
People will always find creative ways to smuggle things in and out of places, and one of the most obvious places to hide the goods for transport is within the persons' bodies. However, just like how it’s proper etiquette to silence your cell in a movie theater, the same needs to be applied to inmates that want to sneak cell phones into prisons.
Cell phones have gotten smaller and smaller throughout the years, but not many are small enough for people to insert into their butt. Even so, size did not stop a prisoner at the Welikada jail in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from hiding a smuggled cell phone in his rectum.
How the convict managed to shove the phone and a hands-free headset into his body cavity was obvious (and probably painful), but how he got caught was the humorous part. Despite being crafty in his method of concealment, the prisoner neglected to use his ingenuity to turn off the phone before shoving it up his butt. Hence, when the phone started ringing, the guards quickly became suspicious. Needless to say, they knew that the prisoner’s butt was not capable of producing a catchy flatulent tune.
The convict was taken to a local hospital for an X-ray, and, lo-and-behold, an internal organ that looked very similar to that of a conventional cell phone popped up. There are no words as to how the phone was removed, but it’s safe to say that the next time the convict decides he wants to sneak in a cell phone he’ll turn it off (or at least put it on vibrate) before hiding it.
