Sony Playstation UK have announced more on firmware 3.30. Looks like it
is not just about stereoscopic gaming and trophy management.
The new firmware will include a option for Bitstream Direct or Mix (sound effects such as button sounds converted to bitstream format) on Blu-ray movies.
Future VAIO PC (selected models) owners will also have the support to perform Remote Play on their Playstation 3. You can now select [PC] as an option under [Remote Play Settings] > [Register Device].
The new firmware is available now.
Lastly, perhaps this is me but browsing experience seems a tiny different in firmware 3.30.
