Quick Spin: LaCie Rugged USB 3.0
We take the LaCie Rugged USB 3.0 mobile Hard Disk Drive (HDD) out for a quick spin. How well does it perform? Just how rugged is it? Read on to find out!
Today, we take a look at the LaCie Rugged USB 3.0 mobile Hard Disk Drive (HDD), one of the many SuperSpeed USB 3.0 devices released this year.
Designed by Neil Poulton, this outlandish-looking mobile HDD is supposed to be shockproof, conforming to MIL-STD-810F standards in that aspect.
The supplied cable, approximately 40cm long, has a Standard-A plug on one end, and a Micro-B plug on the other. The receptacle on the LaCie Rugged USB 3.0 is keyed exclusively for Micro-B plugs, and not Micro-AB ones.
