Quick Take: nVidia GeForce 9 Series Motherboard for Intel Processors
YACS (Yet Another ChipSet) to add to the multitude of choices that system and DIY builders face. The question is - can a new entrant, especially from nVidia, bring something new and palatible to the table. Let's take quick look see....
Take note that not all motherboard manufacturers need to support all the available interface options like DisplayPort (DP), the 4 x1 PCI-E 2.0 slots, 5 PCI slots, etc.
In the case of mATX motherboard iterations you are not likely to find the 5 PCI slots or even 4 x1 PCI-E slots.
Our sample GeForce 9300 board from ECS did not have a DVI or DisplayPort video out and it only had 2 x1 PCI-E and 3 PCI slots.
It's a pretty clean layout, I wonder why they didn't put two PCI-Express x16 slots on this baby?
The momentary switches for Power On and Reset are visible at the top right hand of th above picture. Strangely ECS did not include a SMD LED for power or drive activity. They can be forgiven for not including a piezo-electric speaker.
