The tablet controller for the Wii U has been revamped slightly and an image of the new version has been leaked online.

A QA tester at gaming firm Traveller's Tales posted the photo on Twitter, but it and the account related to the user have since been removed, probably after receiving a good telling off from their superiors.

The overall form of the device remains the same, but some things have been altered and moved around. For starters, the controller now comes with full analogue sticks, rather than the flattened circle pad employed in the 3DS, which was shown in previous pictures.

The start and select buttons have been moved from the bottom to the right-hand side and what appears like a new unlabelled button has been added beside the power button, and another beneath the D-pad. These may be merely aesthetic, however.

Another major thing about this new version is the inclusion of the Wii U logo on the device, which suggests this will be the confirmed name for the console when it launches, despite some rumours that Nintendo might change the name at the last minute.

The Wii U is expected to release late this year and should be featured at E3 next month.
