The ASUS N series are designed as multimedia entertainment notebook PCs. And the N53Jn is the latest member with Intel Core i5 processor, Nividia’s Optimus technology and audio by Bang & Olfusen ICEpower. VR-Zone checks out how good this machine really is at bringing the multimedia experience.

The notebook PCs have always been inferior to the desktop siblings in terms of performance. However, these days, the performance gap between the two is closing; for those of you who need to do programming, video rendering, photo editing etc, or play some 3D games, you would find you can do all these on the desktop replacements without much problem.

Even in the multimedia department, some manufacturers have cramped in superior stereo speakers, and large, wide-format LCD display on their laptops to provide desktop-like entertainment experience to the home users.

ASUS sent us their new N53Jn for this review, a 15.6-inch monster equipped with the latest 2.53GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB DDR3 memory, 650GB SATA hard disk and audio by Bang & Olfusen ICEpower.
