At Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Research in Motion has announced two models 4G PlayBook models that support LTE and HSPA+ networks. On top of that, the company has also announced a new BlackBerry Travel App that lets you plan, book, manage and share travel activities easily.
Research In Motion (RIM) has announced two additional BlackBerry 4G PlayBook tablets in the second half this year, which feature support for LTE and HSPA+ high speed wireless networks.
RIM's BlackBerry 4G PlayBook tablets aims to deliver professional, user-friendly experiences that redefine the possibilities of mobile computing. The tablets offer great performance with real-time multitasking and symmetrical multiprocessing, high-fidelity web browsing with support for Adobe Flash, advanced security features and out-of-the-box enterprise support.
The company has now announced plans to offer four BlackBerry PlayBook tablets:
– BlackBerry PlayBook with Wi-Fi
– BlackBerry 4G PlayBook with Wi-Fi + WiMax
– BlackBerry 4G PlayBook with Wi-Fi + LTE
– BlackBerry 4G PlayBook with Wi-Fi + HSPA+
In addition to the Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity referenced above, each tablet can also support Bluetooth tethering, Mobile hotspots and BlackBerry Bridging.
