Avid Max Payne fans, this piece of news should have you grinning like cheshire cats. Rockstar has indicated that it plans to bring the original 'Max Payne' game to "mobile devices" (indicative of both iOS and Android) very soon.

News of Rockstar's intent to work on a mobile version of this hit title came about as far back as late last year, soon after it wrapped up the iOS release of Grand Theft Auto III. But at that time we had no idea of how long a wait we had for Max Payne to arrive, if at all.

According to a recent Q&A response from the company it will be arriving very soon - as early as a couple months from now. An official statement confirming the game's release date will be coming within the next few weeks.
