First touch, the Inferno’s wide profile suits this writer’s large palm, but most of the time I can only feel the glossy plastic underneath, though I personally prefer a smooth rubbery surface that some other gaming mice have.

Compared to the Logitech G5, the Inferno both less curvy and shorter.


Firing up the Inferno, the scroll wheel, the profile switch button and the DPI indicator glow red.


Pressing the profile switch presents different colours and different lighting:  CM Storm logo illumination and the grill at the front (known as ShadeMorpher TM) – great for gamers who like bling.
