Rosewill Tachyon 550W & Silentnight 500W Review
Rosewill supplies the Tachyon 550W power supply inside a simplistic cardboard box with a unimaginative artistic theme, which is mostly based on a picture of the power supply itself. The front side of the box is rather plain and only the very basic features of the power supply are noted; however, more detailed information about the power supply can be found on the rear side of the box.
Inside the box we found the Tachyon 550W power supply protected between polyethylene foam pieces and wrapped inside a standard nylon bag. The bundled items are secured next to the power supply, inside the nylon pouch.
For a high-class power supply, the bundle of the Tachyon 550W is very frugal. Rosewill only supplies a basic user's manual, some black mounting screws and thumbscrews, a few simple cable ties and a typical A/C power cable. There are no cable ties or any other extras at all.
We received the modular cables of the Tachyon inside a nylon storage pouch. Rosewill went with standard cables covered with typical black sleeving, nothing too special by any standards. Including the two hardwired cables, this power supply offers the following number of connectors:
1x 20+4-Pin Main Connector
1x 4+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V Connector
2x 6+2-Pin PCI-E Connector
5x 4-Pin Peripheral Connector
6x SATA Connector
1x 4-Pin Floppy Connector
