Rumor: HP intends to launch 'Hurricane' Tablet with WebOS in Q3

It was slightly over a week after HP announced the acquistion of Palm for $1.2 billion. And it is rumored that the computer manufacturer is coming up with a WebOS-based tablet, dubbed the "Hurricane". in Q3 this year.

With the acquisition of Palm, many speculated that the move could mean that HP will make use of WebOS and put it inside other devices including smartphones and mini notebook PCs. Rumors from the Interweb, from a HP insider, has revealed that the maker will introduce a new slate tablet device based on WebOS in just a couple of months time. Called the HP Hurricane, it could well be a cheaper alternative to a slate running on Windows 7 operating system.
