It seems as if HTC One Max can’t stay off the spotlight for long. A new leak suggests that HTC One Max will be powered by quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC with a clock speed of 1.7GHz.
When HTC One Max rumors began, it seemed that the device will be a real powerhouse in terms of hardware and will bring top of the line specifications. However, according to @Evleaks, HTC One Max will not be as powerful as expected. HTC One Max will feature a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. If you don’t remember, it’s the same chipset that comes with Google Nexus 4.
Contrary to prior reports, HTC One max is powered by a Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 (4 x 1.7GHz).

Let me just remind you, take this rumor with a pinch of salt. Evleaks has a near-to-accurate track record when it comes to information about unreleased devices, but he can be wrong. Recently, he claimed that D820 is a CDMA version of LG G2, which turned out to be incorrect and was later admitted.
Based on rumors, HTC One Max will feature 5.9-inch Full HD display, 2GB RAM, UltraPixel camera, a fingerprint scanner on the back and will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5 UI on top of it.
There is no confirmed news about the launch of the purported HTC One Max. Some rumors suggest that it will see the daylight next month while others say it will launch at CES 2014.
