The “Mini” craze has taken over the mobile world, with anyone that’s someone looking to shrink its flagship device to make it accessible to the masses. Samsung has released the Galaxy S4 Mini, HTC is readying the One Mini and ZTE seems to have a Nubia Z5 Mini in the pipeline.

Unlike the competition, ZTE’s atomic pygmy will actually be quite large, if we are to give credence to rumors, sporting a display that seemed ginormous a year or so ago. The 4.7-inch Nubia Z5 Mini has first been spied on a couple of weeks ago and is today making its second appearance in the rumor mill.

This time, we are shorter on pics and concrete info, but credible sources tell us the Z5 Mini will become official in mid-July, which is roughly two weeks away. Sadly, there’s still no word on pricing, which I think we can all agree will be the make or break detail here.

Remember, we have been tipped that the phone will sport a 720p display and pack a zippy quad-core Snapdragon 600 beneath the hood, plus 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and dual 8 MP/5 MP cameras.

Speed, display crispness, camera performance, multitasking and software smoothness will therefore not be issues for the “little guy”, which we have reason to believe will also pack a decently sized battery since it’ll weigh 160 grams and measure over 10 mm in thickness.

So how about it, ZTE? Will you also be able to hit the pricing sweet spot? What do you guys think would be this sweet spot? $450? $400? Less?
