Yes, its official. The Nokia 5250 which was recently spotted in Ovi store, is going to be available in the fourth quarter this year. It has music player and users can download their favorite songs from Ovi Music.

The touchscreen Nokia 5250 is designed as a music device that is value for money. It features a music player on the home screen and you can download songs from Ovi Music. It has 51MB onboard memory and expandable to 16GB with microSD card, which is sufficient for 4000 songs.

For users who frequent social network, they can look up contacts on the home screen including easy access to popular Facebook and MySpace. You can also log-in to various email accounts including Ovi Mail, Gmail and Yahoo! Mail.

The Nokia 5250’s battery life is impressive; it can last up to 18 days in standby or up to seven hours talktime. For music alone, it can play for 24 hours non-stop.

Based on the Symbian^1 operating system, the Nokia 5250 has a 2.8-inch TFT screen with a 16:9 apect ratio and a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. On the back, there’s a 2-megapixel camera, with Ovi Share installed to let you upload your snaps to the Web. Eminently pocketable, the device measures 104mm x 49mm x 14mm.

The Nokia 5250 is expected to ship in the fourth quarter at €115 (S$197) before taxes and subsidies.
