[Rumour] Geforce GTX 400 availability delayed to April 12th

We are getting very close to the long awaited GTX 400 series release, in just over a day’s time. It is generally accepted that the March 26th (or 27th if you live in Asia or Europe) will be a paper launch, with details such as performance, features, etc. being established. However, no one expects any kind of availability whatsoever.

Previous rumours suggested the first batch of GTX 400 series products will only be available on April 6th. Fudzilla now suggests there will be no GTX 400 cards available before April 12th.

Of course, we will take this date with a grain of salt, and as with Fermi, the general rule is – we will believe it when we see it. Till then, we can only hope this saga ends soon and we see some solid numbers of GTX 470/480 cards on e-tail/retail shelves soon. We will not hold our breath for it, though.

The paper launch is set to go forward as planned. The NDA is expected to lift on March 26th, 7PM CST and we can expect in-depth reviews appearing around internet.
