Samsung announces Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro at CES 2017

Samsung has launched two new Chromebooks at the ongoing CES 2017. Dubbed the Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro, the new Chrome-powered notebooks feature 360 degree rotating displays, with a resolution of 2400×1600 pixels. A stylus comes built-in on both models, and the two Chromebooks are very similar when it comes to specs.

The major difference between the two is the processor – the Pro model is powered by an Intel Core m3 processor, while the Plus model is powered by an OP1 processor made specifically for Chromebooks. Both models feature a 12.3-inch touch display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of eMMC storage, two USB Type-C ports, an SD card reader, Bluetooth 4.0, and a 39Wh battery that charges via one of the Type-C ports. The new Chromebooks feature a 720p camera and come with stereo speakers.

The Chromebook Plus will be priced at $449 and will go on sale sometime in February. The Pro model will be available in the spring at an unannounced price.
