Winston Goh, product marketing at Samsung Asia, introduced the new Samsung GALAXY S II smartphone and GALAXY Tab 10.1, based on the Google Android platform. According to Goh, the GALAXY S II (16GB) will be available in June at S$998 (inclusive of GST) before operator subsidies. However, don't expect to see the smartphone go on retail at the upcoming PC Show 2011, although there are demo units available at their booth and some telcos. We believed that the GALAXY S II should be available after mid-June.
