Samsung announces GALAXY S II and GALAXY Tab 10.1 in Singapore

The Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 claims to be the world's thinnest mobile tablet measuring 8.6mm thick and weighs approximately 560g. (The Apple iPad 2 measures 8.8mm thin). The GALAXY Tab 10.1 features the company's proprietary TouchWiz user interface, though the product we saw at the event are using the stock Android OS user interface. According to Samsung, the 7-inch GALAXY Tab will be upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but not Android 3.0 Honeycomb, probably due to hardware limitations.

We also saw accessories designed for both the Samsung GALAXY S II and the GALAXY Tab 10.1, including the Bluetooth keyboard (above pic) which can be used for typing with the tablet device.

And two more pictures of the Samsung ladies with the Samsung GALAXT Tab 10.1 tablet:-
