Samsung has announced the NX2000 Smart Camera with a sleek new design and a slew of new smart features.

The camera comes with a 20.4MP ASP-C CMOS Sensor and can shoot at 8fps, with an ISO range from 100 to 25600 and a top shutter speed of 1/4000th of a second. The DRIMe IV engine also helps reduce noise, improve speed, and enable superior colour reproduction.

Also included is a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, from which users can access a variety of features, including 14 different scene modes, including Action Freeze (to capture and collate a moving scene into a single photo) and Best Face (which chooses the best facial expression from five pictures for each person present).

The device features Wi-Fi and NFC for easier photo backup and sharing. Samsung is also throwing in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 for those who want to enhance and touch up their photos a little more before unveiling them to the world.

The NX2000 will launch at the end of the month in white, black or pink for $649.99.
