Samsung delays launch of the Galaxy S III

Samsung is apparently looking to unveil the Galaxy S3 seperately in a Samsung-organized event before the first half of 2012 is up; the reason for the delay being that Samsung wants the time frame between its launch and actual availability to be as minimal as possible. The other possible factor could be Samsung's intent to see what Apple has planned with the iPhone 5, rumored to be launching in July.

Samsung does intend to make a bit of noise during this year's MWC event, most likely in the way of some new tablets and potentially some Windows phone handsets, but it is without doubt that hearing of this delay is a disappointment to the mass of Android fans out there eagerly awaiting a glance at Samsung's next (killer?) smartphone.
