The Galaxy A-series (2017) leaks continue to pour in. Alleged press renders of the Galaxy A5 (2017) have been leaked today, showing four different color options. As suggested by recently leaked renders, the press renders confirm the various design changes that make the handset look more like the Samsung Galaxy S7 than the Galaxy A5 (2016).
According to today’s leak, the Galaxy A5 (2017) will arrive with a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution display and is going to be powered by the Samsung Exynos 7880 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8 GHz. The chipset includes the Mali-T860 MP4 GPU for handling the graphics. In terms of memory, the Galaxy A5 (2017) is going to include 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard memory, which will be further expandable with a microSD card.
In the camera department, the mid-range handset will feature a 16MP camera both at the back as well as the front, making it an excellent choice for selfie enthusiasts. There will also be a 3000mAh capacity battery inside, which is basically identical to what you get on the Galaxy S7. Coupled with good software optimization and a 1080p resolution display, the Galaxy A5 (2017) could prove to be quite impressive in terms of battery life.
We also expect to see a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner, and an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. The Galaxy A5 (2017), along with the Galaxy A3 (2017) and the Galaxy A7 (2017), is likely to be officially announced by Samsung very soon.
