Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 now in-stock in US and UK

The ridiculously large-screen Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is now available from various retailers, both in the U.S. as well as the U.K.

Expansys is now taking U.S. orders for the Galaxy Mega 6.3, and in the U.K., Unlocked Mobiles also has the device in stock and ready to ship.  For Expansys shoppers, the handset will cost $595 (USD), and Unlocked Mobile is charging £498.97 including VAT.

Many manufacturers are diving into the growing ‘phablet’ market, with Samsung leading the way.  The South Korea-based Samsung has seen tremendous growth in demand for smartphone with screen sizes that are near the ‘tablet’ threshold, as evident by consumers’ positive reception of the Samsung Galaxy Note line.

Although the Galaxy Mega doesn’t boast the same artillery as the Note II and the upcoming Note III, it does boast a huge 1280×720 6.3-inch screen with a 233ppi pixel density.  It also carries along with it a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 dual core and an Adreno 305 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM, and comes with 8GB of internal storage.  As with most other Samsung smartphone, the Mega 6.3 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OTB.
