Samsung Galaxy Note III specifications confirmed, 3 GB of RAM onboard
Popular source for leaks related to Samsung smartphones SamMobile has tweeted what they claim to be the confirmed and final specifications of the upcoming phablet flagship Galaxy Note III.
We were already aware of the fact that the Galaxy Note III packs a gargantuan 5.99-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, but SamMobile’s latest tweet goes for specific details. By specific, we mean device thickness and weight (and RAM as well). Behold, for this near 6-inch monster will tip the scales by a full 182 grams. The Note III will carry a trait found in almost all Galaxy flagships, a slim body. The maximum thickness on the Note III is limited to 8 mm, only a 0.1 mm increase over the Galaxy S4.

Here’s the complete Samsung Galaxy Note III specifications confirmed so far:
- 5.99-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) Super AMOLED Display
- 3 GB Of RAM
- 13 MP Rear Camera
- 182 Grams Weight
- 8 mm Thickness
- LTE Support
SamMobile tweets that the Galaxy Note III will come with 3 GB of RAM, and that is not a typo. While we’ve heard of such configurations in the past (1.5 GB, 3 GB), this might be the first real implementation of a phone. It is completely possible to have 3 GB of RAM (instead of multiples of 2 only) thanks to newly developed memory chips with the required specifications of course.
The processor on the Note III is yet to be finalized, as SamMobile’s tweet indicates. We are strongly inclined to seeing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset on board, along with a faster (higher clocked) Exynos 5 Octa chipset for some regions. Our own sources put the battery in the Note III to be near or above 4000 mAh, which would be a marvelous feat considering the device will only be 8 mm thick.
Expect the Galaxy Note III to be unveiled and launched in the next two or three months.
