Leaked images of Samsung’s Galaxy Camera successor, to be called the Galaxy NX Camera reveal DSLR make, Android OS and Exynos SoC inside.
The Samsung Galaxy Camera was one of the first high-end cameras powered by Android OS. High end because the hardware inside the Galaxy Camera allowed it to run and play everything that the flagship Galaxy S3 could, although the device lacked voice calling facility (which was obvious).
Enter the Galaxy NX, aka Galaxy Camera 2. With a DSLR make complete with interchangeable i-Function lenses and powerful hardware on the inside, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean powered Galaxy NX spells exciting times for Android powered cameras.
Galaxy NX Camera Quick Specs:
- Samsung Exynos 4 Quad Core Chipset
- 2 GB Of RAM
- 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720) Display
- APS-C 20.3 Megapixel sensor
- 1080p (1920 x 1080) Video Recording
- 8 or 16 GB Internal Storage
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
The Galaxy NX will function as any another other high-end Samsung Galaxy phone, but with a high-quality camera at the back and devoid of voice/sms features (unlike the Galaxy S4 Zoom). Samsung is all set to introduce the new device at the London Press Event next week, June 20th. Stay tuned for more coverage.
